EN: I was made aware of this book last year, to be honest I hadn't heard of it before and I wanted to be surprised. In this story we follow Yelena who is accused of murder when she gets the opportunity to work for the commander as a poison tester. I have to admit if I had read this story a few years ago I would have been blown away by the story but now I realize I was struggling a little but there was something about it that I liked. First we come to the writing style that was okay but it went way too fast for me we get into the story and from there it just progresses and pretty fast. That it was difficult for me to grasp the story or the characters. I liked the storyline and would have liked more time to go into the scenes. However, there was something about the story that I liked and some scenes were also quite dark, especially when it comes to Yelena's past, which sometimes came up. Valek, on the other hand, fascinated and confused me at the same time. All in all, I can only say that it was okay, although things went too fast for me in many places and was therefore difficult to follow the story, it convinced me enough that I want to continue in the future and I'm curious what else awaits me with Yelena and Valek.
DE: Dieses Buch bin ich letztes Jahr aufmerksam gemacht wurden davor habe ich ehrlich gesagt noch nichts davon gehört und ich wollte mich überraschen lassen. In dieser Geschichte folgen wir Yelena die Mordes angeklagt wird als sie die Möglichkeit bekommt die für denn Kommander als Gifttesterin zu Arbeiten. Ich muss zugeben hätte ich diese Geschichte vor paar Jahren gelesen wäre ich hin und weg von der Geschichte aber jetzt merke ich eben das ich etwas Schwierigkeiten hatte aber dennoch hatte es etwas an sich das ich mochte. Zu erst kommen wir zum Schreibstil das okay war aber mir ging es viel zu schnell wir kommen in die Geschichte und ab da geht es nur voran und zwar ziemlich schnell. Das es für mich schwer war die Geschichte oder die Charaktere zu greifen. Die Storyline mochte ich und ich hätte mir deshalb mehr Zeit gewünscht auf die Szenen einzugehen. Dennoch hatte die Geschichte etwas das mir gefallen hat und ich manche Szenen waren auch ziemlich düster besonders was Yelenas Vergangenheit angeht die manchmal zu sprach kam. Valek dagegen hat mich fasziniert und verwirrt gleicher zeit im ganzen kann ich nur sagen das es okay zwar ging es mir an vielen stellen zu schnell und war daher schwer die Geschichte zu folgen aber es hat mich genug davon überzeugt das ich weiter machen will in Zukunft und gespannt bin was mich noch mit Yelena und Valek erwartet.
